Website Design & Webflow Development for Maritime Fusion Reactor Technology

{{info-banner}}

Maritime Fusion is a deep-tech startup building compact fusion reactors for large ships. Their previous website lacked clarity and visual impact. Flexy Global was brought in to rebuild the website from the ground up so it communicates a frontier technology convincingly to investors, engineers, and strategic partners. We handled the full scope: 3D production, motion design, UI/UX design, and Webflow development, delivering a visually cinematic and technically advanced website.

The project received an Honorable Mention (Site of the Day, October 2025) from Awwwards.com, which recognizes the talent and effort of the best web designers, developers, and agencies globally.

For the hero section, we created a 3D animated cargo ship with a glowing reactor core. The animation delivers realistic vessel movement and a convincing sense of energy inside the reactor, while maintaining high performance in Webflow and adapting smoothly to mobile. Clean typography, deep gradients, and controlled motion establish a confident, future-facing tone from the first glance.

We made a fusion-burst animation that visualizes fusion technology without relying on technical diagrams. This animation is paired with scroll-triggered text that appears as the user moves through the page. The challenge was making the reactor glow feel powerful and realistic without hurting performance.

Below, the market (commercial shipping and defense) is presented through custom 3D vessels. The light needed to read clearly through the ship’s structure while staying lightweight enough to load quickly, scale across screens, and run smoothly in Webflow, including on mobile.

The About Us section highlights the founders’ backgrounds and major milestones. Flexy reorganized fragmented information into a clear, scroll-based narrative with lightweight, scroll-triggered text animations.

The main difficulty was ensuring that interactions remained responsive, smooth, and loaded instantly, even with multiple visual layers and content blocks.

To accommodate very different audiences, we introduced a “Choose Your Path” flow.  Engineers, shipping partners, and investors are guided into content intended for each group.

Across the website, a dark, space-inspired palette gives the site a composed, engineering-first feel, while warm amber accents that echo the reactor core highlight key moments and interactions.

Across all sections, we organized complex fusion concepts into a structured, scrollable layout. Clear visual storytelling explains the reactor, its safety approach, and use cases across mobile and desktop.

The Maritime Fusion website became a clear and confident showcase of advanced technology, combining 3D, motion, and UX into an attention-catching, investor-ready product.

If you’re building a complex or technical product and need a digital experience that explains it simply, beautifully, and with impact, our team is ready to help.
